FAQ

What is Hawai'i AcroFest?

A Unique 3 Day Interactive Festival on the Big Island of Hawai'i Focused on Partner Acrobatics, Yoga, Art, Music, and Playful Social Connection.

I've Never Tried Acro Before...Should I Come?

YES! Class options will be offered for beginners and seasoned Acroyogis alike. This (in our opinion) would be the PERFECT opportunity to explore a new interest in Acro-Yoga as well as a variety of other classes and workshops. There will be tons of support in the beginner acro classes to introduce you to the acro-yoga lingo, poses, and community!

When is it?

July 27th-29th 2023

(bonus day 30th, E-dance after check out!)

Where is it?

Big Island of Hawai'i (Hawai'i County)

KalanImua Oceanside Retreat Center

12-6860 Kalapana - Kapoho Rd, Pāhoa, HI 96778

https://www.kalani.com/

Where do I Fly to?

Destination Airport is:

Hilo International Airport (ITO)

2450 Kekuanaoa St, Hilo, HI 96720

(33.6 miles aka 48 minutes from Festival Venue)

IMPORTANT!

DO NOT FLY IN TO KONA- it is on the other side of the island

Many flights connect you first to Honolulu on the island of Oahu. Oahu is considered more of the city island. There are plenty of hotels, restaurants, hikes, & activities! Stay a night or two and check out the City vibes before you head to the very remote & rural Big Island of Hawai'i.

Meal Plans/Food Vendors

There are NO restaurants/grocery stores within 14.3 miles (20 minutes) of the venue....yes, this means no doordash or ubereats (sorry city folk!).

Our Solutions for this include...

  • Hi.AF Meal Plans (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)

  • Purchase snacks/simple meal basics at Kalani's Store (Hale Aloha) located at the front of the property.

  • Prepare and bring your own Favorite Snacks. Stop at a grocery store in hilo or pahoa on your way in! Have your own rental car to drive for meals.

Transportation?

See out Pre-Arranged Ride Services.

Transportation on the Big Island is NO JOKE. You will need to make your plans accordingly and prepare well in advance if you intend to rent your own vehicle (yes...even if you want to use turo or a major car company). Be sure to make all rentals on the correct side of the island (Hilo, Puna, Pahoa, Kalapana, Seaview- NOT KONA it is too far if you fly in to Hilo). Save $$ and coordinate with a group!
